Update: As of July 12, 2018, the United States Navy has changed the status of Colton's leave to an emergency leave. They will reimburse him for travel expenses. At this time it is unknown if they will reimburse the full amount or a portion. Any funds collected through this campaign will be used for the other expenses and then given to the family to assist them.
The family would like to say thank you to those who have donated as well as the government officials who have stepped in to assist them through this process. The reality that we have an incredible support system and are blessed for everyone who has helped us.
On Saturday, July 7, 2018, Phoenix Firefighter Juston Doherty was found deceased while in his quarters while on active military maneuvers at the Arizona Army National Guard Base in Phoenix. Juston is a highly-decorated Captain in the United States Army. He is also a 15 year veteran of the Phoenix Fire Department. Juston leaves behind a fiancee and four children. One of his children is currently serving in the United States Navy. In order to return home to honor his hero he and his family are having to pay for the costs of flights. We are seeking support for the family during this time to assist in travel expenses and any additional funds raised will be given to the family to assist them during this difficult time. We appreciate your consideration.
This fundraiser has been approved by the family of Juston's son who is serving in the US Navy.
